Based on a combination of the novel by John Updike and the 1987 film adaptation, 'The Witches of Eastwick' was turned into a musical in the late '90s and finally hit London's West End in the summer of 2000. It opened at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on July 2nd to mixed reviews and transferred to the Prince of Wales theatre in February of the following year, undergoing several drastic chanfes in the process. (The musical ones are noted in the Musical Numbers page) The show finally closed later that August, having played over 500 performances.

Since then, the show has played in Australia and Russia. However, being a Brit, I don't know much about them at the moment *blushes*. I'm doing some research though and I'm planning a much fuller history of the show encompassing all productions.
